Recycling
iShred care about the environment, reducing landfill and the sustainability of our world – which is why after we securely destroy your documents, iShred recycles the by-waste to create new paper products.
Once your documents have been shredded in front of you, on your business site in compliance with the Privacy Act, iShred take the destroyed documents to an accredited paper recycler. The paper waste is then transformed into consumable paper products, including tissues, egg cartons and paper towels.
Reducing waste is a concern of iShred – 40% of paper pulp is created from wood and paper production accounts for about 35% of felled trees. Paper is one of the easiest products to recycle in terms of maximising the material to be re-used and cost effectiveness – it’s essential that we utilise recycling of paper products.
iShred are pleased that not only can we ensure the safe and secure destruction of your documents, but in turn reduce unnecessary landfill and do our bit for the environment.
